Still no hard frost here, so we are still pulling tomatoes out of the garden. These Amish paste tomatoes I simply peeled, chopped and put in the freezer.
And one final look at the garden fort! The morning glories are what really filled it out (look closely, and you can see the morning glories are even climbing the tree!). And finally my confession: the kids never played in the garden fort! It was really fun to watch it grow, but they didn't like being inside it. In the above photo, Millie is collecting dried beans to save for seed, but all summer this was the only time she was actually in the fort, enticed by collecting seeds. Go figure.
