Wear That Baby

Mothers tend to be, by nature, quite pragmatic. And I'm no different. There are many things that I choose to do because they make my life easier.  One of those things is babywearing.

Naomi entered the world basically needing one main thing: me. And the other little people in my house still need me too.  The good news is that if I've got Naomi happily snuggled with me in a carrier, I can still fix meals, help littles get dressed and go to the bathroom, clean up the kitchen, fold laundry, and help my 7-year-old with a math worksheet. All while the tiniest member of our family is safe and content.

Besides making my life easier, babywearing is good for baby. And good for mama too. Mothers have been carrying their babies for centuries, and I like parenting techniques that have a proven track record.

It's International Babywearing Week! And also, if you'd like to share about wearing your little one, you can link up at Adventures in Babywearing for the chance to win a Sakura Bloom sling.
