Wear We Are

I don't have a very large selection of baby carriers. I have a few carriers that essentially get the job done. And although I used a couple of other carriers when Isaac was smaller, now I am just using my Ergo and my Maya Wrap ring sling.
Right now Isaac is 9 months old and weighs about 23 pounds. I sometimes wear him in front in the Ergo if we are out, but at home he rides on my back every day...
...because that is the best way for me to get a little work done. Like weeding, but mostly fixing meals, cleaning up the kitchen, or hanging out laundry. But weeding in the strawberry patch makes a lovely picture, don't you think?

My ring sling is a Maya Wrap Lightly Padded. I like using the sling for quick trips or if I'm just carrying him around and not trying to accomplish anything. Anytime I don't really need two hands or if I don't feel like messing with the buckles on the Ergo.
Silas (3 years old) saw me pull out the sling and wanted some snuggle time too. I was happy to oblige.
So, if you are looking for a minimalist approach to babywearing, I'd say that's what we're doing! Just a couple of carriers, but they work for us.
